The Wall Street Journal seeks a serious and seasoned editor for an exceptionally compelling role: the China-based editor of WSJ. Magazine China edition. Based in Beijing or Hong Kong , this bilingual editor will be playing a key role in liaising between the flagship and Chinese editions of WSJ., working closely with both editorial teams to produce a beautiful international edition that maintains all of the magazine's ethos. Candidate should have experience assigning, editing, and writing, including at least 4 years of editorial experience in both English and Chinese.
Read and edit all local content written by the WSJ. Magazine licensees, as well as the content they are repurposing, ensuring that it is in line with the editorial standards of The Wall Street Journal
Commission and edit original content for publication in the licensed and flagship editions
Act as a point person in China for WSJ., attending business meetings and events as needed
Represent the Magazine at cultural and industry events and shows in Asia
Help translate content into English for U.S. team
