What You’ll Do

News Corp is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer with experience in Identity Governance processes, technologies, and solutions to help improve upon critical security controls across News Corp business units, as well as ensure the security of shared SaaS applications across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to blend requirements, constraints, and capabilities into creative and pragmatic solutions that make the work experience better, safer, and more efficient for our colleagues, clients, and customers. The position will require the ability to adapt, multitask, and work both independently and collaboratively with geographically distributed teams.

Responsibilities

  • Help select and/or develop Identity Governance solutions using a variety of available cloud and SaaS technologies

  • Help drive automation, continuous learning and operational best practices

  • Develop reporting metrics to communicate the efficacy of tools and programs

  • Assist in building delivery documentation, including requirements, use case, and flow diagrams

  • Work across multiple concurrent projects, responsible for installation, integration, and deployment of Identity Governance and related security solutions

  • Work with partners and clients for testing, knowledge transfer, and ongoing support

  • Coordinate and collaborate with colleagues, partners, clients, and customers

  • Produce metrics and reports to drive action

Required Experience & Qualifications

The ideal Senior Cybersecurity Engineer will have a proven track record of working within the Identity Governance space. A broad range of expertise is of interest. This role is looking for practical experience (hands-on) in these essential areas:

  • 7+ years of information technology or cyber security experience

  • 4+ years focusing on Identity Access Management, Identity Governance, or automation of account/access provisioning

  • Experience with SailPoint IdentityIQ or IdentityNow, Saviynt, RSA SecureID Governance & Lifecycle (IGL, Via G&L, Aveksa) or equivalent IGA solution

  • Public, private and/or hybrid cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Relational databases (such as Oracle, MS SQL Server, Google BigQuery) and ability to write complex SQL queries

  • Active Directory and LDAP

  • Windows Server environment, including Exchange and file servers

  • Linux server administration

  • Hands on development and integration experience (such as Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, Unix Shell)

  • Proven track record of working within constraints (standards and procedures) without blindly accepting the status quo

  • Strong troubleshooting, problem solving, and analytic skills

  • Ability to translate requirements into a working solution

  • Excellent verbal and written skills

  • Detail oriented

  • Desire to constantly learn new things

  • BA/BS degree in Technology, Computer Science/Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field or equivalent experience

Preferred Skills & Knowledge

  • NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Bigtable, Neo4J)

  • Integration with Web Services (SOAP, REST) and parsing JSON and XML data

  • Experience leading or working in an Agile team

Location:Barcelona

Working Arrangement:Hybrid - a minimum of three days per week
