About the Role:

You will design and Implement digital tagging and measurement for Dow Jones portfolio of Digital products, including websites, mobile apps and connected device apps. You will work with development, analytics, and business team members to ensure we are capturing the required data to drive informed business decisions. You will report to the Digital Analytics Solution Manager.

You Will:

  • Develop, design and maintain the DJ Universal Analytics Data Layer and standards to support Consumer, B2B and Energy product portfolios.

  • Act as a Data Steward for product usage data across Consumer, B2B and Energy business lines.

  • Follow Dow Jones standards, design and document analytics tracking specifications for assigned Dow Jones digital products and platforms, including web, mobile apps, off-platform, and connected device (OTT) platforms.

  • Lead the implementation of end-to-end analytics initiatives across multiple teams; serve as the primary point of contact for analytics implementation requests for assigned products.

  • Partner with internal and external development teams to test and deploy new tracking solutions while monitoring and optimizing existing integrations.

  • Manage tag management systems and data collection tools and interact with data collection and analytics vendors to ensure we are maximizing the value from subscribed systems and services.

  • Research and recommend best in class Analytics solutions, QA and measurement tools optimize operational efficiency, data insights and data quality.

  • Oversee and participate in end-to-end testing, QA, QC, and debugging of analytics code using various tools (Observepoint, Adobe Debugger, Charles or Firebug, etc).

  • Confirm the quality of the data collected in analytics tools (Adobe, Piano, Google Analytics) and databases (Snowflake, BigQuery, Athena) with SQL

  • Keep documentation up to date for the Data by Design program.

You Have:

  • College degree or technical degree in computing, business data management, analytics. Advanced degrees welcome.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a technology role, in a data intensive environment.

  • Minimum 2 years of SQL experience

  • Minimum 3 years experience working with digital product tracking and data collection processes, and platforms. Experience with Adobe Analytics, Tealium, or Google Analytics preferred.

  • 5 years working with data; with a focus on data quality, identifying data issues, sources, cleansing processes.

  • Experience in the media industry and understanding of industry key metrics is a plus.

  • 4-5 years experience with technical project implementation, including all phases from requirements, development, quality assurances, and launch. Previous experience managing external vendor relationships is a plus.

  • A passion for organization and data quality.

  • Web development knowledge, specifically an ability to be hands on with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Web Services

  • 2-3 years experience with data configuration and databases.

  • Strong analytical thought process to identify what data may be needed.

  • Strong ability to communicate with business teams with an understanding of marketing and operations management and processes.
