Dow Jones Publishing Editor, ESG Investing in BARCELONA, Spain

Job Description:

Dow Jones seeks a publishing editor to join a department specializing in environment, social and governance (ESG) news and analysis. The publishing editor will handle both real-time news and analysis pieces as well as proprietary research reports and newsletters. This role is responsible for ensuring our content, written in English, meets the highest standards for our financial professional audiences. The responsibilities also include curation, coding and formatting of content for different publishing platforms. As part of the Newswires editing team in Barcelona, the publishing editor in this role also will handle other EMEA and global news when needed.

Successful candidates will be expert wordsmiths in English and possess the ability to balance accuracy and speed. Knowledge of corporate earnings, financial statements, rating factors and/or financial markets is expected. The right candidate will be either an experienced financial news editor or have previous experience as an editor in a capital markets research firm.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established team at Dow Jones that is focused on the fast-growing market for ESG and impact investing news, analysis and research.

Required experience and skills :

At least 2-3 years of relevant editing experience, ideally with a focus on capital markets.

Journalistic skills including the ability to quickly and sharply edit for grammar, style, sense, jargon, accuracy, structure, balance and fairness.

Native English fluency preferred.

Helps connect the content with the audience.

Collaborates with reporters and editors from other groups
