Dow Jones Manager, R&C Managed Services in BARCELONA, Spain

Job Description:

The R&C Managed Services uses our market-leading research expertise and methodologies to assist organisations with data-related projects, providing value-added services to finish projects within budget.

As a Manager, you will lead a team of delivery managers and quality analysts across different time zones whose primary responsibility is to ensure accurate project scoping and quality deliveries and maintaining relationships with Sales and Clients. You will also be in contact with clients and sales to ensure project requirements are understood and documented. You will also maintain indicators through collecting relevant data and translate this into meaningful dashboards/reports to offer valuable insights into our operations. We are looking for someone who is passionate about data and enjoys working with different partners to ensure our clients get the best quality results.

You Will:

  • Collaborate and partner with Delivery Managers to identify process improvements, capture business process requirements, and help translate these requirements into technical solutions to promote efficiency and improve data quality for our team

  • Lead team members. Focus on continuous improvement of the team, identify the need for coaching process improvement and provide recommendations to management

  • Ensure that all operational processes are accomplished

  • Create an environment that fosters open dialogue, and engages important partners, especially when views diverge. Bring tough issues to the surface, assess risk tolerance and make decisions to build the necessary support

  • Assure all quality and operational reports to be accessible to all relevant partners

  • Partner with team members ensuring a constant flow of communication, knowing when to escalate issues to the relevant stakeholder(s)

  • Build meaningful reports and dashboards to create valuable insight and improve our operational decision-making

  • Manipulate data with scripts and other techniques using internal and third-party tools

  • Partner with your team and clients to gather and document requirements, ensuring each project is performed with efficiency.

  • Automate data collection and aggregation processes to build reporting dashboards

  • Analyze data, perform research and share feedback to enhance our plans, processes and playbooks

You Have:

  • Education to Bachelor's degree level

  • Have a "peripheral vision" with the ability to think ahead and anticipate future challenges and opportunities. Challenge current beliefs and mindsets, including your own

  • Experience working with very large datasets, including statistical analyses, data visualization, data mining, and data cleansing/transformation

  • Experience conducting data collection and analysis using SQL/Python/Excel (can write advanced macros)

  • Provide feedback to your partners and team members

  • Support and embrace change, challenges status quo, having the ability to identify opportunities for automation

  • Experience with Factiva, Dow Jones Risk and Compliance (or similar products) are considered an advantage.
