Dow Jones Manager, Due Diligence Quality in BARCELONA, Spain

Job Description:About the Role: You will manage a team of analysts in Barcelona. The team researches and writes high-quality reports on companies and/or individuals using a combination of publicly-available and proprietary sources across countries, including the US. You will work with their peers and direct reports to ensure that our content and sources are updated and that reports meet client requirements regarding accuracy. You will be also required to provide training, mentoring, and leadership to other analysts and research editors in the wider Due Diligence research team, and ensure that targets and deadlines are met. You will report to the Director, Risk & Compliance Services, and contribute to the continuing market success of Due Diligence. You may also be called on to assist other teams in Data Strategy with special projects from time to time, according to their individual skills. You Will: + Lead, in a collaborative environment, a dedicated research team to achieve Dow Jones's output/quality targets. The Manager's tasks include recruitment, defining goals and developmental directions, performance management, and implementing coaching needs for staff. + Allocate research responsibilities across the team of Research Editors. + Ensure that all Due Diligence reports allocated to the team of Research Editors are completed on time and according to quality standards. + Implement training to ensure that the Research Editors produce reports that contain the most accurate and up-to-date information possible to meet client expectations. + Promote the Due Diligence research process and support Due Diligence Sales Specialists in prospecting and selling the service. + Ensure that clients receive clear communication to queries relating to the Dow Jones research process and its content. You Have: + Experience in the field of Due Diligence desirable. + Experience managing and motivating a research/editorial team desirable. + Manage a team with a focus on quality- and quantity-metrics and finding the right balance between the two. + Manage a team of researchers and train/mentor them to greater success. + Knowledge of and interest in international affairs. + Identify wholly with Dow Jones' service obligations to its clients. + Educated to degree level.
