Dow Jones Video Producer in NEW YORK, New York

Job Description:

Summary of Position:

Dow Jones Media Group is seeking a video producer to join our existing video production team. The role will be responsible for producing videos weekly covering a mix of explainers, on-location shoots, hosted segments, and unscripted series. The producer will work with existing journalists to write scripts, brainstorm story ideas, and identify potential video segments. Consistent drive to keep current with evolving video technology and trends is required. Proven ability to work and solve problems under deadline pressure is a must.


  • Background in journalism and the ability to write and script

  • Strong news judgment, good writing skills, knowledge of current events and excellent communication and people skills

  • 3-4 years of video editing in either Premiere Pro or Final Cut

  • 3-4 years of experience with Canon C100, C300, Sony FS7 and ENG style cameras

  • Creative, detail-oriented
